It's funny how trivial events somehow get seared into your brain. This one is from years ago, when I was enjoying a yogurt on Telegraph Avenue in Berkeley.

Suddenly, a large exotic bug appeared and started dancing around. Its iridescent colors caught the sun and glistened like a rainbow. A crowd formed to watch its antics in shared delight.

Out of nowhere, a lunatic pushed through the crowd. I'd seen this guy before -- paranoid, menacing. His rage toward the bug slit me like a knife. The insect was getting attention, people were happy, and he was out for revenge.

The man bolted through the crowd, possessed. He jumped on the bug, over and over and again. People gasped. A child cried. And then, as quickly as it began, it was all over.

Silently, numbly, the crowd dispersed. The man, now triumphant, smiled hideously. I threw away the yogurt, which was now rendered tasteless.

I'll never forget the look of blind hatred on that man's face. It communicated this: "I want what you have."

And: "If I can't have it, I'll destroy it."

This random experience flashed in my mind recently when I was in a Berkeley bookstore. With my newfound interest in religion, I wanted to peruse that section.

After hunting down a clerk to unearth the tiny religion area, I perused the shelves. In actuality, the area should have been called the Anti-Christianity Section.

While there were respectful tomes on the other religions, the Christianity section was a virtual pillorying of Jesus.

Every book denounced him, mocked him, or reinvented him as something entirely new. There were books debunking the Gospel, with each author sounding gleeful, like a wicked child.

Now, I understand that some people reject religion. But why the venom? The contempt, the need to torpedo Christ?

This campaign against Christianity isn't confined to an obscure Berkeley bookstore. And it didn't begin with Obama. There's been an active crusade for decades to try to destroy Jesus with Alinksy-like tactics: freeze the subject, humiliate, marginalize.

But while demonizing Christianity is nothing new, it's reached a fever pitch since Obama came on the scene. It's no wonder: Obama sent out clear messages from the start.

Obama's first interview as president was for an Arab broadcaster. Then he covered up a cross at Notre Dame and was a no-show on the National Day of Prayer.

Lately, it seems like open season on Christians. The Pope has been subjected to unprecedented condemnation, with atheists Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens plotting ways to have him arrested.

Comedy Central plans a cartoon show mocking Jesus. On the TV show Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David does something so offensive that I will only offer you a link.

In the past I would simply put on my therapist cap with people like these. I'd probe their childhood for evidence of maltreatment. I'd label them as narcissists and antisocial personalities.

But now I have a different worldview, one that goes much deeper than just the psychological. Now I understand that this world is infused with the Divine. And that there is a competing force, one that is the polar opposite.

I now have a word for that creepy feeling deep down in my gut. And I finally understand the source.

Now I see what's really behind the campaign to banish religion; it's to render us utterly helpless. Because after all, without God, what protection is there in this brutal world?

Sadly, grievously, I look out on my country. I see the corruption and undoing. I witness the ever-growing tsunami of hate that threatens everyone in its path.

And I see citizens oblivious to the dangers because they're mired in the slime of moral relativism. They have no language, no hiding place, no possible way to shield their children in the deep and darkest nights.

And I see that lunatic, the one with the crazy, hollow eyes. But he's not just on Telegraph Avenue.

He's far and wide: in the hallowed halls of Congress, in the institutes of higher learning, in basement rooms where small men troll.

If you listen closely, you can hear that same diabolical cry: "I want what you have.
And if I can't have it, I'll destroy it."

What does God say about racism? Like in all matters of life, when we need the Truth, the real answers, we have to go to our final authority in all matters, the Bible. One of the greatest weapons of Satan is division. The enemy has figured out every way imaginable to divide men. Since virtually the beginning of the human experience, man has fallen into Satan's trap of division based on the color of a person's skin or their ethnic origin. While racism has always been an issue in this country, the fact is it is an issue in every country. This divisive mindset is not unique to the United States. Sadly, in some form it is practiced everywhere on the planet.

Since the racially incendiary remarks by President Barack Hussein Obama's pastor of 20 years, Dr. Jeremiah Wright became such a big part of the Presidential campaign, it sparked a national dialogue on race. During the campaign, President Obama gave a speech on race that was lauded by many. Those who made such a big deal over his speech were most likely swayed by the fact he was dealing so openly with a taboo subject few will talk about. However, his speech was hollow, self serving, and nothing more than a political move to do damage control because of his close association with Dr. Wright.

President Obama's race speech did NOTHING to help people or this nation deal with this scourge, since the victory over racism isn't going to come from the flowery words of a politician whose only motive and goal is to get elected President. No my friend, if people and this nation are going to truly get victory over racism, it has got to come from an understanding of what God says about this issue and by people who are willing to follow what God says in the Bible.

If President Obama had intended to really take a leadership role on the race issue, educate the nation and provide real answers for how to get victory over this inhumane way people treat others who are different than they are, then he would have told people what God says about racism. God says MUCH about this issue, but President Obama didn't find it worth including even one verse of Scripture.

*THIS IS WHY I TELL YOU SO OFTEN THAT IT WILL NOT BE A POLITICIAN, BUT A MAN GOD HAS CALLED TO LEAD PEOPLE IN THE WAYS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS!!!

The fact is, there is only one race, the human race! People may have white skin, black skin, brown skin, yellow skin, red skin, or any other color skin, they may have different ethnic backgrounds, but they are all part of the same race, the human race! The Bible says that ALL MEN are created in the image of God. God created all men equal. I tell you frequently that Satan is the great perverter. It is Satan, not God, who seeks to divide men by their skin color, ethnicity, financial means, and any other way you can dream up to divide people. God created men equal to live in harmony with one another. It is Satan who introduced division into the human experience.

In God's plan of redemption, there is no division. John 3:16 says that God so loved the world, ALL men. It says that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES. That is a universal call to ALL MEN regardless the color of their skin or where they live. In 1 John 2:2, it talks about how Jesus laid down his life for EVERYONE. Everyone means ALL MEN, the entire human race. This satanically inspired way we have of dividing ourselves through racism, prejudice, and discrimination all make a mockery of what Christ did on the cross. He faithfully and obediently went to that cross to die for the sins of ALL MANKIND.

That is why all of the black pastors I know repudiate the false black liberation theology Dr. Jeremiah Wright has been teaching for over 3 decades. Wright is actually a student of James Cone who made this perverse theology popular in the 60s that teaches the Bible is the basis for blacks to be liberated from social, political, economic, and religious bondage. President Obama is a liar when he states he never heard the types of comments made by Dr. Wright the media has been playing, since that is the foundational teaching of the black liberation theology Wright has been preaching in Chicago for over 30 years.

The fact is the Bible DOES teach liberation theology, LIBERATION FROM SIN!!! It was not written to people with dark skin, but to all people regardless of their skin color. We are all part of the human race, which means we are all born with the sin of Adam, we all sin during our life, and that is why Jesus went to the cross. He gave His very life on that cross as the payment for the sins of all mankind, that through faith in Him men might be find freedom from their sins. There is nothing in the Bible to support this false black liberation theology Dr. Wright preaches, since the liberation theology of the Bible is about the freedom from sin for ALL MEN!

You also have the Biblical example of Jesus during His earthly ministry. Again, racism is not a new phenomena to the United States in our brief 232 year history. Forms of racism have been part of the human expedience since the very beginning. Jesus commanded us in John 13:34 to love each other as He loves us. He used people of other ethnic backgrounds often in His parables. One of the most powerful is the story of the Good Samaritan. If you remember, the Jewish religious leaders passed by the man who had been robbed and beaten and laying on the side of the road, leaving him to die. It was the Samaritan, the non-Jew, who honored God by stopping and ministering to the needs of the injured man. Don't forget, it was Jesus who told his followers to make disciples of EVERY NATION, reaffirming the value of all men.

I love you and care about you so much. If President Obama had wanted to give a real speech on racism to move hearts and lead people in this issue, THIS is the message he should have delivered. It would have been a message from God's Word that laid the Biblical foundation all men are created equal and those who seek to divide men by the color of their skin are not of God, but of Satan! It would not have been the self serving, politically crafted words to try and help him weasel out of his 20 year association with a pastor and church that preaches and teaches division based on the color of a person's skin. Dividing men by skin color, ethnicity, are the works of the devil.

Those who truly seek to serve and follow the Lord are not looking to divide men but unite them. A true follower of Christ understands that God created all men equal, that we are all part of the human race. Racism, prejudice, and discrimination are NOT of God, since we are hurting someone God created and loves and Jesus died for! Sadly, 11 am on Sunday morning is the most segregated hour of the week in this nation. That is truly a shame since the one sanctuary from racism should be the church. Yet sadly, most churches don't lead the culture, they allow the culture to lead them. So rather than modeling what God says about this issue, in far too many churches, they perpetuate this ungodly attitude men have for other men who look different than them.

They better wake up since when we die, and stand at the gates of Heaven, there won't be a line for whites, or a line for blacks, or a line for Asians, or a line for Hispanics, or a line for those from the Middle East, just like there won't be a line for Catholics, or Baptists, or Methodists, or Pentecostals. No my friend, when you take your last breath there will only be two lines. One for those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ and one for those who have rejected Christ. The Bible proclaims those who reject Christ will be cast into the flames of hell for all eternity, and those who know Jesus will be welcomed into their eternal home with God their Creator in Heaven. At that moment, Galatians 3:38 will be realized, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus!"

HOW TO CONTROL PEOPLE

The difference between true education and vocational training has been cleverly blurred. Here are a few tips on how smart people can control other people. If any of this rings a bell - Well, then wake up!

The first principle of people control is not to let them know you are controlling them. If people knew, this knowledge will breed resentment and possibly rebellion, which would then require brute force and terror, and old fashioned, expensive and not 100 % certain method of control.

It is easier than you think to control people indirectly, to manipulate them into thinking what you want them to think and doing what you want them to do.

One basic technique is to keep them ignorant. Educated people are not as easy to manipulate. Abolishing public education or restricting access to education would be the direct approach. That would spill the beans. The indirect approach is to control the education they receive.

It’s possible to be a Ph.D., doctor, lawyer, businessman, journalist, or an accountant, just to name a few examples, and at the same time be an uneducated person. The difference between true education and vocational training has been cleverly blurred in our time so that we have people successfully practicing their vocations while at the same time being totally ignorant of the larger issues of the world in which they live.

The most obvious symptom is their absence of original thought. Ask them a question and they will end up reciting what someone else thinks or thought the answer was. What do they think Well, they never thought about it. Their education consisted of learning how to use the library and cite sources.

That greatly simplifies things for the controller because with lots of money, university endowments, foundations, grants, and ownership of media, it is relatively easy to control who they will think of as authorities to cite in lieu of doing their own thinking.

Another technique is to keep them entertained. Roman emperors did not stage circuses and gladiator contests because they didn’t have television. We have television because we don’t have circuses and gladiator events. Either way, the purpose is to keep the people’s minds focused on entertainment, sports, and peripheral political issues. This way you won’t have to worry that they will ever figure out the real issues that allow you to control them.

Just as a truly educated person is difficult to control, so too is an economically independent person. Therefore, you want to create conditions that will produce people who work for wages, since wage earners have little control over their economic destiny. You’ll also want to control the monetary, credit, and banking systems. This will allow you to inflate the currency and make it next to impossible for wage earners to accumulate capital. You can also cause periodic deflation to collapse the family businesses, family farms, and entrepreneurs, including independent community banks.

To keep trade unions under control, you just promote a scheme that allows you to shift production jobs out of the country and bring back the products as imports (it is called free trade). This way you will end up with no unions or docile unions.

Another technique is to buy both political parties so that after a while people will feel that no matter whether they vote for Candidate A or Candidate B, they will get the same policies. This will create great apathy and a belief that the political process is useless for effecting real change.

Pretty soon you will have a population that feels completely helpless, and thinks the bad things happening to them are nobody in particular’s fault, just a result of global forces or evolution or some other disembodied abstract concept. If necessary, you can offer scapegoats.

Then you can bleed them dry without having to worry overly much that one of them will sneak into your house one night and cut your throat. If you do it right, they won’t even know whose throat they are cutting.

I just saw the movie, The Stoning of Soraya M, last night.

It was an incredibly powerful movie! It tells the story of Soraya, a beautiful Iranian woman from a small town in Iran. They are all Muslims and as such follow the Islam (false) religion very closely.

Reality Vs. Myth for SB 1070 (Arizona Immigration Law)

Myth No. 1: The law requires illegal immigrants to carry identification that they weren't already required to carry.


Reality: On the contrary, the law simply penalizes illegal immigrants who fail to carry the registration documents that federal law already requires them to keep on their person. These federal crimes (8 United States Code Section 1304(a) or 1306(e)) have been around since 1940. The Arizona law simply adds a layer of state penalty to what already was a crime under federal law.

The SB1070 provision in question reads:

"For any lawful contact made by a law enforcement official or agency of this state . . . where reasonable suspicion exists that the person is an alien who is unlawfully present in the United States, a reasonable attempt shall be made, when practicable, to determine the immigration status of the person."

The majority requests for documentation will take place during the course of other police business. As for U.S. citizens, the law does not require them to carry any identification whatsoever. Indeed, the law cannot possibly be applied against U.S. citizens; only an alien can be found guilty under the Arizona statute. (See News Hour clip 3:45 seconds in)

Myth No. 2: The law will encourage racial profiling.


Reality: The terms of the act make clear that such profiling cannot occur. Section 2 provides that a law enforcement official "may not solely consider race, color, or national origin" in making any stops or determining an alien's immigration status. In addition, all of the normal Fourth Amendment protections against racial profiling still apply.

Moreover, the law actually reduces the likelihood of racial profiling by forcing police officers to contact the federal government to verify a person's immigration status when they suspect a person is an illegal alien. It already was permissible for police officers across the country to make arrests for violations of federal immigration law where reasonable suspicion existed that a violation had occurred. Now, in Arizona, officers will have to make a phone call to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) 24/7 hot line to confirm that any aliens in their custody really are present unlawfully. Officers can no longer proceed based solely on their own assessment of a person's immigration status. In this way, the Arizona law takes any consideration of race out of the equation - strengthening the protections against racial profiling.

Myth No. 3: The law will require Arizona police officers to stop and question people.

Reality: Here again, critics of the law are failing to read it carefully. The law only kicks in when a police officer already has made a "lawful contact" with a person, such as stopping him for breaking another law. The most likely contact is during the issuance of a speeding ticket. The law does not require the officer to begin questioning a person about his immigration status or to do anything the officer would not otherwise do.

Only after a stop is made, and subsequently the officer develops reasonable suspicion on his own that an immigration law has been violated, is any obligation imposed. At that point, the officer is required to call ICE to confirm whether the person is an illegal alien.

The Arizona law is actually more restrictive than federal law. In Muehler v. Mena (2005), the Supreme Court ruled that officers did not need reasonable suspicion to justify asking a suspect about their immigration status, stating that the court has “held repeatedly that mere police questioning does not constitute a seizure” under the Fourth Amendment).

Tea Party -- April 15, 2010

I recently attended a Tea Party in southern California on April 15, 2010.

Tea Party participants are white...AND black, hispanic, asian,and all races. They are women and men from a all economic levels.

(In fact, the organizer of the Tea Party I attended was a hispanic woman AND a true american patriot!)

I found them to be kind, generous, and very well educated on the issues of our day.

Tea party participants are true american patriots who care about the constitution, want less government involvment and more freedom for the people, less taxes and more govt accountability on what they do with the tax money.

Like the man in the video below says, "These are my people--Americans."

Avatar: The Movie

Recently, I took my children to see Avatar at the Imax Theater. We had a great time!

The graphics in the movie were nothing short of spectacular. The fact that it is 3-D and we saw it at the IMAX movie theater only intensified the feeling of being in this magical world.

Now having said all that, I was a little disappointed with the messages in the movie. It made our wonderful men and women of our military look like these evil thugs and gave trees and plants God-like qualities.

It was about worshiping creation (mother earth) and not the Creator (Our Almighty Father).

After the movie my children and I talked about our favorite parts and how magical the world in the other planet was. We talked about how a movie like this wasn't even possible a few years back and the genius imagination of James Cameron.

Thankfully, the door was wide open for a learning, teachable moment. I took the opportunity to talk with my children about the messages in the movie. We talked about how movies like this perpetuate the lie that the environment must be saved from the "awful humans".

And how as merely humans, it is easy to fall in love with creation and totally miss the source of that creation, our Creator.

We talked about how it is nice to enjoy movies BUT, not to be oblivious to the messages they are sending us.

Movies are a wonderful tool that can be used for good or evil. Avatar, no doubt, is a movie in a class of it's own and yet the messages left a sour taste in my mouth.

Then take a movie like Facing the Giantsand wow! It will change your life and your outlook on our time here on Earth. It draws you closer to your Saviour and not away from Him all while entertaining you! It is a movie that you want to watch over and over again!

Now as far as Avatar, I fully agree with what Andrew Klavan has to say about it! (Read Below!)

Blockbuster movie conveys disturbing message

A bestselling author and Hollywood screenwriter is delivering a warning about the blockbuster movie Avatar.

James Cameron's Avatar is on track to becoming the highest-grossing movie of all time. The hit movie is about a paraplegic war vet who is brought to another planet inhabited by a humanoid race. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture.

But Andrew Klavan, who has been involved with successful movies starring Clint Eastwood, Michael Douglas, and other superstars, says the message from Avatar is disturbing.

"It romanticizes this primitive life and worship of nature, that in real life has not been very good for people," he explains. "It depicts our military, our Marines, as lunatics out to destroy primitive civilizations, which is the opposite of the American military."

Klavan encourages those who do see the movie to keep things in proper perspective.

"When you see these creatures sleeping on leaves that fold up and cover them like blankets, when you see them using plants that light up, when you see them [employing] almost a virtual Internet that works through a tree, remember those are all things that come to us through electricity, technology, invention, through mankind striving up and away from the kind of primitive life the film represents," he says.

Klavan's latest book, The Long Way Home, illustrates the journey of a morally and ethically sound man who must rely on his principles and faith as he finds himself the target of a jihadist plot.
